A little bit about me...
Hey there! I'm Caitlin Connell and I graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor's of Science in Atmospheric Sciences, a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication, along with a Minor in Mathematics and a Certificate in Digital Production for Media Industries from the University of North Dakota.
I am originally from sunny, Southern California, but I packed up and moved from Orange County to study the weather 1,800 miles away from home in North Dakota. I had some incredible opportunities while I lived in ND. For example, I've operated radars, broadcasted the weather, and even taught the weather! I worked at WDAY (ABC) in Fargo as the Weekend Morning Meteorologist, at UND as a Teachers Assistant for Atmospheric Sciences, and I was a dance teacher.
I packed up from my home of 3 years and moved about 8 hours south to Omaha, NE to work full-time for 3 News Now as their Weekday Morning Meteorologist/Traffic Reporter for over 2 years. I moved again and started work in a top 20 market in beautiful Denver, Colorado! I did all weather, all the time with the national streaming platform called WeatherNation.
After much thought and deliberation, I made the difficult decision to step away from the broadcast industry after nearly four years. It was time to turn the page over into a new chapter, and I landed in a Business Development Manager role for Location Services. Now, I'll be maintaining a normal work and sleep schedule, and be able to see my family more often. No matter what I do, my love for weather will always be a huge component in my life.

Some of my hobbies include travelling, hiking, camping, dancing, baking, and exploring National Parks.
